Having people walk around nude, getting drunk and some engaging in sex is not cultural revolution but rather cultural death

Big brother Africa is one of the most popular reality tv show in Africa started in 2005 which is sponsored by DStv. In this year’s edition BBafrica will have representatives from 14 courtiers eyeing $300,000, up to win, however depicted values in BBafricas clash with norms and values of some African countries like Rwanda.
Many Rwandans describe BBafrica as an alien culture not only to Rwanda but to Africa.
As Rwanda will take  the place of Angola in the 9th season which will start on September 7 , 2014, social critics dominates the country’s topic of discussion ” from the few times I have watched the show, only 20% of it is okayHaving people walk around nude, getting drunk and some engaging in sex is not cultural revolution but rather cultural death.Sendary says

Meanwhile, Rwanda’s  entertainment industry describe the participation as great achievement “ Rwanda’s  participation is testament to how far we have come. Being  the lucky country picked among many other countries says a lot about what has been achieved in the entertainment industry so far and I’m confident that whoever is representing Rwanda will give other contestants a run for their money,” Manzi says.
The strict devotion to Rwanda’s cultural norms and values has witnesses ample social events, such as pulling down of airtel billboard this month, objectifying women.
However, despite all the supports and critics some Rwanda’s celebrities have already shown and vindicates their interest in participation for BBafrica, McTino and Anita Pendo in forefront, while people are anxious    to know either reigning queen Colombe Akiwalu have interest or not.
