Reports from Tanzania are saying that
Airtel, Tigo, and Zentel have announced a pioneering agreement to allow their
subscribers in the country to send to each other whether using Airtel, money Tigo
pesa or easy pesa on their mobile handset.
However this
is the first agreement in Africa to adopt such ’’interoperability’’ where by
mobile networks operators allow their customers to send and receive money across
their networks and the e-money goes directly to the respective customer account. This service are expected to start
this month.
