WHY NGGILARI MAY NOT IMPLEMENT JUSTICE BOBBO REPORT

*
Nyako misappropriates N500 Billion in 7yrs Only recently, the Justice Bobbo Umar Commission of inquiry into the finance and human resources management of Adamawa state Government from June 2007 to June 2014 set up by Rt. Honorable Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri aborted government presented its six weeks investigative report to the state government with great expectation that the government will set up committee to study the report and issue a white paper on the report.
Nggilari’s continued silence over the report since the submission of the report had raised fundamental questions from the opposition that the governor may not have the moral justification to implement the report since he was part of the Nyako’s ousted government.
Recent pronouncement by the Governor of Adamawa state that he will not be part of any form of witch hunting clearly implies Nggilari’s unpreparedness to pursue the report to logical conclusion.
The report present a shocking revelation of N500 billion allegedly misappropriated by the Nyako Administration in seven (7) years of his tenure.
The report also described the impeached Governor as the “Chief Accountant” of the state, while the chief accountant  was just operating as mere “cashier,” while the Bank manager of Zenith as a “defector” Account holder of the state government, a situation that makes embezzlement very easy.
The report further revealed that in 2008 the state government collected a loan from Zenith Bank for the project of street light in the state capital and Mubi, and paid whooping sum of over ten billion naira (10,000,000,000:00) as interest charges over the period to the bank while the sum of three hundred and fifty four million, nine hundred and thirty one thousand, two hundred and seven naira (354,931,207) remitted into the account of the secretary to the state government by the facility manager of Adamawa plaza, Abuja between 2010 and 2014 was diverted by the SSG since only N9million was remitted into the state account.
Some of the areas the report indicted the Nyako’s administration is the looting of the local government Accounts (JAAC), sponsorship of Nyako’s wife foreign trip, diversion of N1billion education fund, diversion of N2 billion workers two months salaries and N175 million monthly SA allowances among others.
